9/6 was more than a date that saw the birth of yours truly, it has spawned at least 3 damn fine shows from which to choose:

Outstanding China>Rider, especially a particularly fine transition jam

Not much to say about this monster. Silly good.

Another great one from the Rocks. HSF is outstanding. Birdsong is ethereal.

While I pretend to work today, my brain is being assaulted by musical sledgehammers.

Too bad I'm saving up my ducats for vacation, otherwise I'd get you one of these for your "other chair."

I think Mando needs one of those more than I. Can't think of a better present for a Navy Head then a Head with a Head.

It's the thought that counts. And what better place to do your thinking...

Hey--hope your "present" arrives safely soon; I always worry about these things (well, everything, actually--is it obvious?). Arbuthnot and I have many tales of postal folk going "postal" on our packages (ahem) and finding them repackaged with official tape and glue sticks, having "passed" their intimate and thorough inspections, searches for contraband, or just plain old "fun" they undertook with our "flats"....some were even stamped with "badges/certificates" of actual enforcement personnel!?

Has listening to any show ever caused you to shatter or explode one of those porcelain thrones?? if so, I'd be curious to know which one.

Unfortunately, an exploding head is usually the sign of a show that is pretty much opposite to a chair-buster. See, it takes a paticularly horrible show to cause a bowel movement of such ferocity that even toilets are no match. There have been a few of those, I'm sad to say. Most of them are from the mid 90's when it looked and sounded like Jerry was performing while in a long-uncleaned Port-O-Let.

Just my opinion, of course.

Seems like Maine would be the appropriate place to start for your birthday. I hope you enjoy the day. I suspect the co-workers have chipped in to purchase a new desk chair for you.......again.

Here's your new birthday chair -- finally, one that can stand up to the music!

As formidable as that one may seem, I'm afraid Lewiston would prove it's demise.

Well then, be careful when you put that on. Warning: It's a chairy Garcia, so it would definitely have a smokin' break.

Now THAT is smooth.

Almost as smooth as the Glenlivet 18 Y/O that awaits me at home.

Happy B-day fellow sufferererer (how many ERs in that anyhoo? Get it? I am ready for the ER--fluids only visit).

Another week with storms all around; Al Gore and his frickin "heat island" effect keeping them all from Valley, and your compound.

Or was it the test of the tactical therm-o-New-CLEAR device you conducted last week that has our atmosphere bent outta shape?

Hold fast, my stalwart friend. Before you know it, the local shopping centers will be inhabited by bermuda short-clad Santas.
